The New Faculty Members to Convene The Meeting

    President Wang Ruifang Communicates with The New Faculty

In the afternoon of September 3, we have a new faculty meeting our University at room 208 of the No.1 Public School Building chaired by President Wang Ruifang. All new teaching staff attended the meeting.

This is the first General meeting for 66 new faculty members attended, who just finished the pre-job training. President Wang gives a warm welcome to everyone once again.

Firstly, he briefly summarized the six years’ college "leapfrog" development of the basic situation, stated clearly of the institute's educational philosophy, vision, mission and strategic objectives. He also conveyed to all new faculty members the good news that Xiamen and Zhangzhou Harbor Tunnel South Corridor Merchants Bank Shugang highway project will be under the construction, which indicates that our university will get rid of present location disadvantage with the continuous deepening of reform and opening up gradually into the future location advantage.

President Wang stressed that the teachers and administrative support team are required to cooperate with each other in close collaboration peacefully; "student-centered" school principle should be into practice, in order to place the service and strict management, our Students become internationally competitive application type, complex and innovative talents. President Wang hopes that all faculty and staff in adhering to the "dedication, cooperation, practical, innovation", based on a common concept of strict demands on themselves, filled with awe of the organization, responsibility to work, humility to colleagues, compassion to the community, making effort with School work together to upgrade.

Finally, the new faculty discusses with President Wang concerning on their own job prospects, in-service training, and research issues. President Wang answers the questions one by one clearly and detailed. Meanwhile, as a scholar ever studied overseas, he finally joins in our Tan Kah Kee college, this experience encourages everyone in our university’s prospects in China.
