E-Commerce (ECM)

Introduction

  

This course provides the students with an overview of the state of e-commerce today. It defines electronic commerce and discusses electronic commerce elements and addresses issues and technologies available for students who wish to engage in e-commerce realm.

Through four year’s systematic and academic study, graduates will have a good understanding of both the theories and practices of E-Commerce, and the related disciplines of E-Commerce, graduates will also equipped with the fine knowledge of modern E-Commerce management, Information technology theory, and have a great capability of developing E-Commerce.

Career Prospects

Graduates go on to a wide range of marketing, business, and management careers in the commercial, IT enterprise, public and voluntary sectors, as well as apply for postgraduate studies.


Curriculum for E-Commerce Major

  

Module Design and Credits Arrangement

The students in this major are required to get at least 154 credits for 2349 class hours, including:

1) Skills cultivation courses (A):   528 class hours, 43 credits

Compulsory courses (A1):    432 class hours, 27 credits

Elective courses (A2):       96 class hours, credits

Social Practice (A3):          class hours, 10 credits

  

2) General education courses (B):   608 class hours, 30 credits

   Compulsory courses (B1):      310 class hours, 16 credits

   Elective courses (B2):         224 class hours, 14 credits

  

3) Business core courses (C):       764 class hours, 48 credits

Compulsory courses (C1):      508 class hours, 32 credits

Elective courses (C2):         256 class hours, 16 credits

  

4) E-Commerce orientation courses (D):      528 class hours, 33 credits

Compulsory courses (D1):      272 class hours, 17 credits

Elective courses (D2):         256 class hours, 1credits
